About 2 years ago my family went to Jekyll Island. On our way home we stopped by a super Wal-Mart in Jesup. To make a long story short, I was accused of shoplifting a shirt that I bought at the Dublin Wal-Mart. They wouldn't show me the video tapes or they wouldn't take me in the back. The guy that accused me was wearing regular clothes. He came up to my sisters husband and told him if I took the shirt off I wouldn't be arrested. This took me by surprise. It scared me more than anything. I didn't have my receipt for the shirt but I had another one, a different color, in my car. They didn't believe me. They took me up to the front of the store where I was held in front of everyone. The store employee grabbed my husband by his arm and threatened to escort him out because he was getting to loud. He was upset because I was so upset. I was crying so hard I could barely talk. The 2 managers came over to me and asked me why I was so upset if I didn't do anything. I told them they'd be upset too if they were 1 hundred miles from home and accused of stealing. I was begging them to show me the tape they supposedly had but they never would. All the cashiers and customers had stopped doing what they were doing and was staring at me. I was humiliated. The store employee that came and got me from the shoes. (that's where I was at when he approached us* told the managers that to cashiers had seen me go into the dressing room and put the shirt on. I still to this day have no idea where the dressing room is in that store. Then he changed his story a few minutes later to 2 customers had seen me changing clothes in the dressing room. He kept changing his story. By this time I had gotten so loud he threatened to take me outside. I told him I would be glad to go outside and go home. After about 40 minutes of humiliation, they let me go home. I went straight to the police department to file a complaint. That next Monday I got a lawyer. He still hasn't gotten anywhere with this case. You might know him. Ralph Jackson. I'm getting a run around job with him. I still can not go into a department store without feeling paranoid. I despise Wal-Mart now. The employees in Dublin are all so rude. What happened to the smiling faces. Everytime I see a Wal-Mart commercial with those smiley faces, it makes me sick. The bad thing about it is K-Mart is no better. I have seen the fence you are referring to on your web page. I see all the trash that's next to it. They have a new manager in Dublin. He's been around for a few months now. Have you tried talking to him? I hope you get this mess straightened out.

Sincerely,

Brandy Bloodworth"
