"Since Sam's is an outgrowth of Wal-Mart, I'm
not surprised at the facts I'm relating below.
When my membership in Sam's expired about
4 months ago I was not informed of its expiration
but I soon received an invoice for the membership
renewal price. Not intending to renew it anyway I
ignored it and forgot about it. To my great surprise,
a month later, I got another bill for the membership
price plus interest. I returned the bill addressed to
the credit manager with a letter of complaint. Today,
I got another bill with bno acknowledgement of my
ceased membership but with another chunk of
interest added on!
This amounts to extortion in my opinion and from your experience, this sort of thing appears to be corporate policy. Feel free to add this to your site if you are trying to build up a summary of Wal-Mart'seputation.
