E-Mail from Customer Who Hates Wal-Mart:
"I just happened across your website. I live in Northwest Arkansas, approximately 30 min from Bentonville, AR.

I have noticed that Wal-Mart properties are fairly picked-up but the land on the edges of them are usually trashed.

We are trying to get a Target near the NWA Mall, which Wal-Mart is right across from, and of course they are fighting it to the hilt! We're so sick of Wal-Mart around here, EVERYONE wants a Target, except for Wal-Mart, of course. Walgreens built a store here and you would have thought Disneyland came to town---somewhere else besides Wal-Mart to shop!

The WMSuperCenter that is closest to where I live is always trashy and nasty looking and when you're shopping and needing help, there is NEVER anyone to help, and if there is, they are usually rude and put out by the customer. That's why I try to stay away from there. They have no concept of customer service---this has proven true of many of their stores in and around Arkansas that I have been in. It seems that after Sam Walton died, all the stores went to pot.

I had worked for one of the Walton's Arvest Banks in Arkansas. I left after a LONG 5yrs. They treat their employees there the same as their store employees--low pay and work you to death. So, it's not totally the employees fault, I guess, that they don't want to help the customer. They just feel that they are not getting paid enough to do their job and help you at the same time! HELLO, wrong thinking!

Anyway, I guess the point I'm trying to make is that more people need to stand up to this "monopoly" and need to get the "customer is always right" and "good citizenship" back into the Wal-Mart name. The Walton's need to remember that the CUSTOMERS are who and what started their daddy's business many years ago and have put them where they are today! "
