"My name is John Wheeler, I am a college student at Indiana
University and I have to say I apprecate your web page, Like you I USED to
like walmart, until a coulpe of weeks ago, I was coming back up to school
from my hometown on mother's day and my car's engine made an unsual noise
and the engine light came on, I pulled over and had the car towed back
home, the car is an 96 honda civic, and the Honda dealership told me that
the engine blew up becuase there was no oil in the car, I had my last oil
change at walmart of Bloomington, Indiana. and my father called the store,
they actually sent out a person to look at the engine, and a couple of
days later had a phone call from walmart saying they would not pay for my
car becuase of the small disclaimer that is on the receipt you fill out,
they said they are not liable, not even liable for their own faulty work?
I do not see how they can say that, and the Honda Dealership told us that
they could not believe they would not pay for it. So we are now in the
process of finding an attorny and seeing what will hapen, but just the
same, I am in college and do not have time or money to fight this case.
This is very furstrating and I thought Walmart was a family store that
stood for its customers and community. I guess we both know different.
Walmart's store manager has actually been quite rude and hung the phone up
on my father."
