| E-Mail from Employee Who Hates Wal-Mart: |

"After working for Wal-Mart for nearly four years and receiving
absolutely NO SUBSTANTIAL BENEFITS, I can say with absolute certainty
that Wal-Mart cares about one thing and one thing only...Making as much
money as possible.
They pay their employees as little as possible and expect them to give one hundred percent effort. I finished college with an Associates degree in business while working for them in hopes of joining their management program(although now I must wonder what the hell I was thinking) After repeated excuses and delays it became apparent they were never going to give me an opportunity. I returned to college and earned a Bachelors Degree in computer science. I am now a computer administrator for a manufacturing company (and better off). As for our Wal-Mart, they built just outside the city limits (Tipton, IA) to avoid the city zoning costs of course. When they found out they would have to pay for rural services (electricity, garbage pickup(What didn't blow into the adjacent field)etc., they allowed themselves to be annexed to the city.(Yippee) In the process they ran several small businesses out of business and have a monopoly on our little town for many, many products. I have come away from my Wal-Mart experience disappointed and angry, and sympathize with you and your homeowners association." |
