"I worked at Wal-mart for a year and
hated it. Oh sure...it started off as a fun, challenging job but, after
the second day I was ready for something else. The clowns that run 603
in Pekin Illinois would never give any bright individual a promotion.
They bait you along always keeping you one fleeting step from moving up.
I started off as temporary employee and got a "full time" job as a stockman for 2 months and then moved to Night Receiving. Night Receiving, now there is a job that offers great promise...I remember working like a rented pack mule to get those trucks unloaded yet, when it came time for my review they were like, "Well, Scott takes too long while pulling pallets out to the floor" and "Scott should apply himself more". I couldn't get over at how critical those bastards were. They acted as if I was performing rocket science. I didn't even get a raise! I limped along at $5.05 an hour until I quit that god forsaken hell hole. And since when is 28 hours considered full time? How does a person support themselves on that? Wal-mart blathers about how "we take care of our family of associates". What a boat load of crap. Walmart Sucks" |
