They will advertise for one type of job........and than make a person go through 2 hours and more of interviews. If you don't take the job that THEY want you to take........you do not get hired.

Our local Wal-Mart had an Associate Sales position open.....and after 2 hours of interviews.....I was told that I could be hired for a 3rd shift job of unloading trucks.....with most packages weighing up to 75 lbs. Or I could take a cashiers position. Where I would be standing for eight hours shift.

If I didn't take the Cashiers position........I would not be hired.

During the interview I was asked how much money I was responsible for on my last job......and also how much I stole from that job.

Seeing as how I DID NOT steal anything from any of my jobs where money was involved......all jobs had to check out to the penny.....and if I were a penny off.......I had to find that penny before I could close the books for the day.

Yet Wal-Mart insisted that "ALL PEOPLE STEAL FROM THEIR JOBS"......and for sure I must "have taken something".

Needless to say......writing to the "top brass" did no good.......

I have yet to hear back from our local Wal-Mart for any job within the company. Just because I did not "steal" anything from my last job.

I often wonder if this is what Sam Walton really wanted from his store.
