I used to live next to a low-income apartment complex and I had the same problem as you did. I would get the yard so nice looking only to have trash rolling into it the same day.

It sounds as though those big oak trees were the perfect solution for all your problems but they knocked them down - what a shame.

You may find it interesting that right here in Jackson Michigan, there is a full size billboard along I-94 (a major freeway for this area) that says " Walmart always makes you pay". There is a picture of Walmart's logo (usually a happy face) that now shows an angry face. I have never seen anybody go to such extremes to protest so there must be others out there who are also upset with Walmart.
